We have the honour to inform jeu that the Green Island Cement Co. have deciɑsa on the following reply te the proposals contained in H.B.M. Minister's asspatches of
7th. and 18th Instant:-
"We have no knowledge of what quantity of klonu

* Our unfulfilled contracts are 152,750 tona being
* balance of contracts alluded to in your reply to quest-
* ion 4 of your despatch to Peking of September 2nd.
* We will agros te waive and abandon all claims
* in connection with the stoppage of our limestone supplies
" from Kuangtung, on condition that the Canten GevGITMONL
• facilitates anu allows the full carrying out of ubev.
" contracts, and gives a guarantee to the satisfaction of
* H.B.M. Minister that this Company shall be able to pur-
* chase future supplies en a free and open market, una en

terms not less favourable than those at present received
by the Kwangtung Count Company at Canten."
